Energony is constantly ready to carry out construction of, important for the country, high voltage transmission lines projects, despite the most difficult situations, terrain and infrastructure conditions.
\nTransmission lines are the most important link in the power system, which ensures the delivery of electricity generated by the power plants to the customer.
\nThe development of energy infrastructure is a strategic importance task, the successful solution of which contributes to the efficient use of the country’s energy resources. In order to ensure the sustainable development of the country in the near future, along with the construction of electric power stations, it is necessary to significantly develop the transmission network, by building both internal and connecting to neighboring countries transmission lines.
\nThe development of electrification in Georgia began in 1927 with the construction of the Zemo Avchala HPP, which had an installed capacity of 12.8 MW at the first stage. Zahesi-Tbilisi power transmission line is the first high voltage transmission line in Georgia, thus laying the foundation for the development of Georgia’s energy system. Electricity was transmitted from Zahesi to Tbilisi via a 35 kV double-circuit power transmission line with a length of 15 km.
\nAt present, the total installed capacity of Georgian generation facilities is within 3000 MW, and the transmission network consists of 500 kV (923 km), 400 kV (32 km), 330 kV (21 km), 220 kV (1900 km), 110 kW (3552 km). ) and 35 kV (2300 km) power transmission lines and transformer substations with installed capacity up to 10500 MW.
