Mtkvari HPP construction project – Civil Works
The project is being implemented on the initiative of the GEORGIAN CO-INVESTMENT FUND
The total installed capacity of HPPs is 53 MW.
Reservoir volume 6 million m³
The length of the pressure tunnel is 9.6 km.
In order to minimize the impact on the environment, the project includes building a fish pass, which is distinguished by its length and variety. During spawning, the fish pass ensures the fish migration from the downstream of the headworks to the upstream (reservoir) side and vice versa
Quality control is carried out by international consulting engineering companies: ILF Consulting Engineers (Austria) and Gruner Stucky Ltd (Switzerland).
